YAY! I hopped on the scale this morning and I lost 3.2 lbs this week! This is in and of itself a miracle as I was gone this weekend and I didn't eat super healthy. Now I'm back to where I was a couple of weeks ago and ready to make some positive progression in the next week and 1/2 before we go on vacation again....(this time to an all-inclusive resort - so I'm afraid I might indulge too much in the tasty foods once again). Wish me luck!
And I'd love to hear how you all fit exercise into your daily routine. This is an area I am struggling in....(no - I'm FAILING in!) So I'd love to hear how you fit exercise in with a busy family and life. THANKS!

Lets see how do I fit exercise in, I don't take showers until 10 at night when everyone is in bed. I look like a nightmare all day, but I feel great!! It is sad but true!! I work out in the morning after Adam has gone to school. I take the others in the stroller or to the gym day care!! T Bodily wakes up at like 3 (or some crazy hour) to exercise and she looks nice all day!!
Joanna, I've just been messing around on the computer reading different blogs...haven't gotten into the blog thing, but I'm thinking I should take the plunge and do it. I loved all your picts of hawaii...looks like you had a great time. Can't wait to see you guys!
Lately we have been running (Don't love it yet, but I'm sure I will soon -right?)That's great because Troy and I are partners in it, so we will each other to keep going. As I was reading up on a training program one of the suggestions was on the days that you don't want to run tell yourself you have to do it for ten minutes before you decide to stop. You can do anything for ten minutes, and if you get going and still decide you don't want to do it, stop, but most likely once you get to it, you will enjoy yourself, and want to keep going. Another thing we do when the weather is nice is just walk places. The store, park, church, Dance class, pre-school etc. are all less than two miles away, and it only takes a few minutes longer to just walk, plus it's good for us, and "green" :)
wooohooo!! I swear it's the times when I'm not in complete control that I lose the most weight!
Call me a slacker, but I just have to make things convenient. We have weights downstairs & I try to take 20-30 minutes a few times a week to do a power lift session. It doesn't matter what I am wearing (well, maybe not a dress). If I have the time & energy I just go for it. Otherwise, I never get it done.
I don't have any great ideas of how to fit exercise in with little ones. But, I didn't want to pass up the opportunity to congratulate you on your weight loss. Hooray! As for exercising with the boys...hmmm. For now, I'd suggest putting them in a stroller and walking around the neighborhood. Or doing it while Gabe is at preschool and taking Hunter to the gym. Or putting on some fun music and dancing around the basement with the boys. Good luck!
Mom
HEY - good job. it is so hard to lose weight while traveling. I think I ended up gaining 1.5 this week. On Monday morning, I had lost the pounds from last week and this week, but this morning those 3 pounds are back. So, I'll have to claim them.
When I had babes in the house I would dance every chance I got - the boys will love it. I also used to march in place and also I would jog in place. Try it in your underwear in front of a mirror. It is a great motivator. Just for a few minutes - just enough to get the heart beating a little faster, then go to bed.
I know they say to not exercise right before bed, but if you get your metabolism going just as you are getting into bed, you will burn more calories while you sleep.
I've been reading the suggestions, because I need help here too. I used to go to the YMCA and LOVED it because I could just drop the kids off and they loved it too. But it's too far away and I can't afford the drive nor the membership so I'm back to square one. I thought I would try walking at the school track before picking up Jess from school, but it's been too hot and now I can't seem to get organized enough to do that either. I also have yoga videos that I need to just do in the house, but that hasn't quite happened either. So I'm at a loss on this one. I think right now with Gavin interupting me every couple of hours I barely have time to get the important housework done between his meals much less excercise. I might try jumping on the trampoline with the kids - maybe. Like I said - I have lots of ideas, but nothing has come to fruition yet. . .
Wow, great job, Joanna! You're cruisin'! You have always been such a WW example for me. I haven't done it for a little while, but I'm starting to think about starting back up again just to lose a few more. (I thought I could do some on my own when I reached my first goal- HA! No way. I still totally need to tools on the web). Anyway, I think you should try the Couch to 5K program. That's how I started running, and now I love it! It has also really toned parts of my body that I had pretty much given up on. :) I wake up to run at 6:00 three days a week before my husband leaves for work and I just love it. (Though I didn't at first... but it really grows on ya!)
I like the new look of the blog. I have so much to catch up on, we have had a bunch of stuff this month and I have been bad. I will be back!!!
