Layout Catch-Up

One thing that makes me crazy about creativity is that it comes at the most inoprotune times.  Seriously - the more stressed out and the more other stuff I need to work on the more ideas I have buzzing in my head and itching at my fingertips.  I'm sure that's similar for a lot of people - but it makes me nuts.  I can't concentrate on balancing check books when all I can think of is scrapbook pages.  Sheez!  Oh - another thing that I start obsessing over is cleaning my house and organizing closets and drawers.  Suddenly the cleaning tasks I've been putting off for days/weeks/months become urgent and actually look like fun when compared to my current to-do list.  I must buckle down and work on some book keeping garbage.  YUCK!  :)

Anyway - I haven't posted layouts in a while.  Sorry about that - here's an overload of them.  As usual - if you are interested in any of the kits or templates let me know in the comments.  They're all from creative teams I'm on.

Don't Quit!

My brother sent me this poem.  I was happily reminded of the good message.  In either 5th or 6th grade one of my teachers (good old Mr. Bandley) assigned this poem for us to memorize.  He'd give us a poem each month to memorize perfectly and if we could receite it with no errors we'd get a candy bar.  I wish my memory was as good as it was 20 + years ago so I could just receite it from memory, but I was really grateful for the message.  So as we all struggle through life's trials an tests remember: "Rest, if you must, but don't you quit!!!"

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest, if you must, but don't you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don't give up though the pace seems slow--
You may succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than,
It seems to a faint and faltering man,
Often the struggler has given up,
When he might have captured the victor's cup,
And he learned too late when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out--
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far,
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit--
It's when things seem worst that you must not quit.

Things will be ok!

I read this quote tonight and it was definetly one of those *tender mercies* that come along at just the exact right time when we need them. I know that even though there are hard times around for all of us that things will get better!

"I want you to know that there have always been some difficulties in mortal life, and there always will be. But knowing what we know, and living as we are supposed to live, there really is no place, no excuse, for pessimism and despair...

"I hope you won't believe all the world's difficulties have been wedged into your decade, or that things have never been worse than they are for you personally, or that they will never get better. I reassure you that things have been worse and they will always get better. They always do—especially when we live and love the gospel of Jesus Christ and give it a chance to flourish in our lives"

EXCITING!!! Quick Pages for sale!!!

I'm so excited to post this on here!!! I've started creating Digital Scrapbook Quick Pages for one of the fun designers that I create for - Connie Prince.  We'll be selling them in her digital stores.  This is really exciting for me to be a part of.  I love Connie's products and I love that I will get to not only create layouts with her gorgeous designs but also share them with all of you if you're interested in purchasing them.

Here are the first albums I put together using the Celebrate Him and Celebrate Her kits (but there are 4 layouts in each album - I've just shown one of each album):
