The other night when Cory was mowing the lawn he found a little friend for Gabe - a horny toad. Cory brought it in the house and I quickly escorted them outside so Gabe could see it. We all pet it, and Gabe even held it. At first he was freaked out by holding it, but then as you can see in the last picture - he warmed up to it and eventually he was sad to know we had to put the little friend back 'with it's family'. I know we'll have lots of experiences like this with my 2 boys, and I really don't mind things like that as long as it's outside....

before I read the journaling, I could tell in the last photo that Gabe was sad because it couldn't live with him in the house. heheh Yeah, I imagine you will have lots of critters making friends with your family over the years. Love, Aunt Charlotte

Ohhh...the look of heartbreak in that last picture. What a brave boy. I sure wouldn't be brave enough to pick one up. So cute!
