Digi Scrapbook Tutorials

I have people email, or ask me frequently how to get started in Photoshop, or with digital scrapbooking. I'm horrible at explaining things. I'm really short sighted and always just think everyone's brains work just like mine, and things should click in their mind like they do in mine. I often forget that I've used Photoshop for about 8 years now, and I had a great class in college that taught me so much about the program. I'm not an expert, and I just don't teach real well. Anyway, that's why I'm always on the look-out for good tutorials to refer people to.

I would highly reccommend any of the classes by Jessica Sprague, or offered by her website. There are some for free I think, and some that are for sale - but even with the ones you purchase you get a lot for your money. She shows videos, you have assignments, there are galleries to post to, you can do it on your own schedule - I've heard it's awesome. I did one of her free classes a while back and although the timing was off (I didn't have time to keep up with it - my own fault). However, I just logged into the site and I can still access the content, so that's cool. They also sell other digi scrapping products on her site including one of my favorite designers - Crystal Wilkerson.

But there are also some GREAT tutorials at this website that I found today. Misty Cato is one of my favorite digi designers - I love almost every, single thing she designs. So I was excited to see that on her website she also has step-by-step tutorials about how to create your first layout in Photoshop Elements, how to use templates, how to use a photo clipping mask and how to create waves. She had another blog before with lots of other teaching tools that you can view here. It has TONZ of tutorials.

It's amazing all that these computer programs can do - so it's nice to see some simple, easy-to-follow instructions to shed a little light into all that we can accomplish with them.

Enjoy!

You really are super talented, and so lucky that it comes naturally for you.

Have a great day!
