Yeah - it was that bad...

So it hasn't been the easiest week at the Ellis house. Hunter has been particularly fussy, Gabe's reached a new level of fit-throwing, Cory's been swamped with work stuff, and I've been totally grumpy - add it all together and our house hasn't been the funnest place to be. I have barely had time to catch my breath - much less sit down to blog (or go to the bathroom...)

Add to that the wind - man it's been nuts! The wind has blown non-stop for like 4 days - MAJOR wind! Wind has always made me grumpy, and today when I was talking to my mom she said that is actually a phenomenom. Did you know wind blows around negatively charged ions and a lot of people have problems when there is wind? After talking to her I'm totally going to read up on that. So I'm going to blame it all on the darn weather :).
So here's to having a better weekend. I'm looking forward to General Conference!

We just got back from doing a couple of errands around town and Taylor was SO sad too. She really got worked up and just hysterical. I have to admit, I didn't think to pull out the camera :)

Good luck - hope things go better. Hopefully Hunter is just going through a growth spurt or something that doesn't last long.

Love, Paul & Nicole

We have not missed the wind from Utah/Idaho here. It's been one of the few things we have not missed at all one bit.

I miss Fall, and I miss Winter-

But I don't miss wind.

Hope your little ones feel a little better...

Joanna, I think its also cuz those fall hot winds must sort of mean "fire" on some biological level we aren't even conscious of--they just make us anxious (sort of like snakes. . . ).

And sometimes we all just have on our cranky pants. . .

Hang in there, and keep taking deep breathes.

All my love, Sandra

I hate the wind too....makes me SO grumpy!! It's my least favorite weather element! I don't mind a nice breeze, but I'll go out of my way to stay home if it is windy!!! Hope your next week goes better! :o)

Oh, those pictures ARE so sad! I hate it when babies get all worked up and you can't calm them down- those faces just tear your heart up! (But on a light note... I love that font!)

I'd be in trouble if that wind theory is really true since it never stops blowing here in Idaho Falls. LMK what your research shows up. Maybe I don't have constant PMS and I can start blaming the wind lol.

Really, they thing there is really something to this wind theory. I first heard about it as a missionary in Switzerland where they have the foehn winds. And then again in Montana with the Chinook winds and in California with the Santa Ana winds. All three of these infamous warm winds are known for their mood altering effects. They say that suicide and homicide rates increase when these winds are blowing, as do depression and migraine headaches. You can read about it on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F%C3%B6hn_wind

or in this article from the New York Times:

Sorry, I don't know how to do a link on Blogger. But, copy and paste the address in your browser and it will take you there, if you are interested.
